All the temps, all the time.

Because you know damned well you wanted a place to rant and rave and not have to explain to someone else what an ubertemp is. You know you want to talk to other people who can debate, with variable intelligence, whether the amount of money you take home after x number of hours actually does decrease. You have a desperate, or not so desperate, need to be around people, at least virtually, who understand just exactly how much money they wasted on law school to be stuck doing menial trained-chimpanzee work in horrible crowded windowless rooms with crappy computers and horrible software for too little money for too many hours and sometimes it just gets to you and you have to cry and oh my god isn't it all pointless I just don't understand what I'm doing here can I please go home yet?

But only if those people aren't, say, bitter.

So. To get started,

READ THE RULES:

1. Unfortunately you've got to be a member to post to the community, but you can reply to any post already there. But please sign up for your very own free journal and join the community--it'll get boring fast if I'm the only one posting here! Get your journal here. It's FREE!

2. Yeah, yeah, I know, we're all lawyers, but as far as this community goes there can be NO discussion of cases by name or recognizable detail. I'm the judge of what's recognizable, because somebody's got to do it. Period. Your post will get deleted and I will user-lock the community. This is one place where bad temps don't get to ruin it for everyone.

3. Yeah, yeah, I know, we're all lawyers, but as far as this community goes there can be NO discussion of specific firms by name or recognizable detail. I'm the judge of what's recognizable, because somebody's got to do it. Period. Your post will get deleted and I will user-lock the community. This is one place where bad temps don't get to ruin it for everyone.

4. There isn't a rating for this community, which means pretty much anything goes. But since we all need to keep our jobs, anything that isn't workplace-safe should go behind a live-journal cut (instructions here). It's not hard. But it could save your ass, at least in the trivial live journal sense.

5. Check out the community "memories" (which is really more just a bookmarking feature here) for instructions on how to join, how to post, and other good stuff. And HAVE FUN!
